Loretta Lesiak, 92, of Toms River , passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 3 at Kimball Medical Center

Mrs. Lesiak worked for the Tingley Rubber Corp. of Rahway for 23 years, retiring in 1976. She had attended St. Joseph ’s Church. Born and raised in Bayonne , she lived in Clark before moving to Toms River in 1980. She was predeceased by her beloved husband William; two sisters, Edna Sugrue and Katherine O’Brien; and a grandson, Michael Valush.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 pm on Sunday at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave. , Toms River . A funeral service will be held 10:00 am at the funeral home followed by entombment at the Graceland Memorial Park , Kenilworth

Edward A. Husni, 88 of Toms River , formerly of Cherry Hill , passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2008

Mr. Husni was an accountant and worked for I.B.M. of White Plains , NY and Milford , CT. for 30 years, retiring in 1987. He was a former member of the Bethel Baptist Church of Cherry Hill and was a member of the Christian Businessman’s Association of White Plains. He had served in the army during World War II. He was loved for his quiet spirit, quick wit and wonderful laugh.

He is survived by:
His wife of 47 years, Cynthia “Dinny” Husni
Two sons and daughters in law: Mark and Danielle Husni – Toms River
Timothy and Wendy Husni – Pittsburgh , PA
Four Grandchildren:  Sabrina, Troy , Daria and Maya.

The family will host a time to celebrate Edwards life with a memorial service to be held, 11:00 am Friday, August 29 at Mark and Danielle’s home, 21 Pine View Drive , Toms River . Kedz Funeral Home, Toms River is in charge of arrangements. 

Anna May Flood, 73 of Toms River , passed away Friday, August 22, surrounded by her family. 

Mrs. Flood worked as a medical receptionist for Dr. Malcolm Kramer of Forked River for 8 years, retiring in 1996. She was a communicant of St. Justin’s Catholic Church. She was an avid camper, loved her children and adored her grandchildren. Born in Avenel, she lived in Keansburg, moving to Toms River in 1971. 

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Raymond Flood in 1986 and three brothers, George, William and Richard Tompkins.
Surviving are her children: Raymond of Texas; Colleen Kerico and her husband Jeffrey; Patrick and his wife Christine and Kelly Guglielmoni and her husband Thomas, all of Toms River .

Shawn P. Herman, 47 of Toms River , passed away at his home, Thursday, August 21.

Shawn was a Field Service Engineer with Carl Zeiss, SMT, Inc., of Peabody MA . He was a 1979 graduate of Toms River High School North and attended Union Technical Institute of Neptune. Born in Denver , Colorado , he was a life long resident of the shore area.

Louise H. Pope, 92 of Toms River , passed away peacefully in her sleep on the evening of August 21st, in McKinney , Texas

She would have celebrated her 68th wedding anniversary on the 18th. Louise graduated early at the top of her class from business school. After graduation she worked as a secretary and subsequently married Steve the great love of her life. During her lifetime she served as a treasurer and secretary for many local organizations such as the PTA, Boy Scouts of America, Elks, and Toms River Bowling League.

Louise and Steve enjoyed a very active retirement taking creative classes for Senior Citizens and won trophies for dancing and various events. She will be remembered by her children and grandchildren for her humor, wonderful story telling and most of all her steadfast love. As Steve would sing to her "every little breeze seems to whisper Louise". We all know that they are dancing still. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Stephen Pope in April 2007.

Martin T. Cifarelli, Sr., age 86 of Toms River died on Sunday, August 17, 2008 at the Willows in Holmdel.

Mr. Cifarelli was born in Jersey City and had lived there until he came to Toms River in 1982. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the US Army, and was a member of the American Legion of Jersey City and was a communicant of St. Joseph ’s Catholic Church of Toms River. He was employed with Colgate of Jersey City as a tin smith, retiring in 1982 after working there for 41 years.

He was predeceased in 2006 by his wife of 59 years Rita Hughes Cifarelli.
He is survived by his son Martin T. Cifarelli, Jr., and two grandsons, Christopher P. and Daniel T. Cifarelli.

Private services were held under the direction of the Kedz Funeral Home, Toms River .

Matthew Michael Vasel, 60 of Toms River , passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Sunday, August 10, 2008

He was a certified public accountant, and a communicant of St. Joseph ’s Catholic Church. Born in Passaic , he lived in Clifton moving to Toms River in 1987.

John William Anderson, 85, died peacefully at home surrounded by family. 

Born in Union, he lived in the Middlesex County area before moving to Bayville 3 years ago. He worked for Johnson & Johnson for 30 years, retiring 20 years ago. He was an Army veteran of World War II serving with the 101st airborne. He will be missed by many, and remembered for his sense of humor, wise cracks and his complete honesty. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Florence Wood Anderson; two brothers, Lester and Roy and a sister Joan Anderson.

Surviving his children: Cathie of Manchester Twp.; David of Wenonah; Michael Szigeti of Howell; Lisa Cunningham of Dallas, NC, and Laverne Pascucci of Brick.

Grandchildren: Cory, Davie and Wyatt Anderson; Mackenzie Malaspina; Frankie Cunningham; Chrissy, Dawn and Dean Martin.

Nancy Lynne Schrumpf, 59 of Toms River , passed away at home on Saturday, August 9, 2008 .

Nancy was a licensed real estate agent and worked for Ridge Realty at the Greenbriar Woodlands Community and was a member of the Monmouth County Association of Realtors. She was a graduate of Freehold High School , and was a member of the Toms River Presbyterian Church. Born in Elizabeth , she was a life long resident of the Jersey Shore , moving to Toms River 20 years ago. 

She was predeceased by her father, a renowned local sports official, Jack Schrumpf in 1988.

Frances Laudicina Ciliento, 93 of Toms River , entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 8, 2008

Born in New York City , Frances was raised in East Rutherford . She lived in Wood-Ridge and Lodi before moving to Toms River in 1995. She was a professional seamstress, a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers, and worked in many clothing shops in North Jersey . She retired from Rutherford Dress in 1980. Frances was a former member of Our Lady of Assumption R.C. Church in Wood-Ridge. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 3149, and the Mary Washington Chapter of the American War Mothers, both of Carlstadt. She was predeceased by her husband Michael in 1974.

Zenon J. Cybyk, 64, of Toms River , passed away Wednesday at the University of PA Medical Center

Mr. Cybyk was a computer software consultant for PurchasingNet, Inc., of Red Bank, NJ since 1992. He was a communicant of St. Stephens’ Ukrainian Catholic Church in Toms River . Mr. Cybyk was a proud and devoted father and a tremendous supporter of his children’s work and their accomplishments. Born in Poland , he was raised in Newark . He lived in Akron , Ohio from 1976 until moving to Toms River in 1992.

Eveline Philomena Iacuzzi, 76 of Flat Rock, NC, formerly of Toms River , passed away Sunday, July 20 at the Margaret Pardee Memorial Hospital , Hendersonville , NC .

Mrs. Iacuzzi was a registered nurse and worked at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City for 37 years, retiring in 1998. She was a former communicant of St. Joseph ’s Catholic Church of Toms River. Born in Dunmore , Ireland , she lived in Toms River for many years and Florida , moving to Flat Rock in 2000. She was predeceased by her loving husband Alfred Iacuzzi, Jr. in 2005 and a son George Iacuzzi in 1998.

Neal A. Both, 76 of Toms River , passed away Monday, July 21, at Kensington Manor Nursing Home. 

Mr. Both was a pre press engraver and worked for the Asbury Park Press for 37 years, retiring in 2004. Prior, he had worked as a photo engraver for Ace Photo Engraving of Peterson for several years, supplying photo plates to the Star Ledger and Paterson Evening News. He was an avid fisherman and was an archer with the Wopena Archers of Clifton . Mr. Both was a self motivated and self taught electronics enthusiast. He worked on and could fix anything with tubes to lasers. He was born and raised in Paterson , moving to Toms River 41 years ago. 

He was predeceased by his wife, Nancy L. Both in 2002 and his brother George Both in 2000.

Phyllis DiCroce, 91, of Toms River , passed away on Sunday, July 20 at the Holiday Care Center

Mrs. DiCroce was a seamstress and worked for the Hanes Co., in Newark for many years. After retiring, she could always be found with her husband Mario at his barber shop on Arnold Ave. , in Point Pleasant . Her family will also miss her famous chocolate cakes. Born and living most of her life in Newark , she lived in West Caldwell, Point Pleasant and most recently in Toms River

She was predeceased by her husband Mario in 1997 and her son Joseph.

Regina M. Lorence, 86 of Edison, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 13 at the Golden Living Center , Old Bridge

Mrs. Lorence had attended St. Justin’s Church of Toms River where she was a member of the Rosary Society, and a member of the Toms River senior Center. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Born in Bayonne , she was raised in Jersey City and lived in Toms River from 1978 until moving to Edison in 2000. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank J. Lorence, Sr. and a daughter Rose Marie Demko in 2008.

Theresa B. Sisinni, 81 of Toms River , passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, July 10, at Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood

Mrs. Sisinni was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be remembered by those fortunate enough to have known her as a woman of candor with a keen sense of style, a sharp intellect, a commanding presence, and a remarkable talent in the kitchen. She was a communicant of St. Justin’s Catholic Church where she was a member of the Rosary Society. Born and raised in Brooklyn , New York , she summered in Toms River for many years before moving here in 1979. She was predeceased by her husband Frank  Joseph Sisinni in 1988.

Harold F. Woodley, 83 of Brick, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, July 7 at Ocean Medical Center , Brick. 

Mr. Woodley was an electrician and worked for General Motors in Linden until retiring in 1980. Born in Jersey City , he lived in Iselin for 30 years, and Florida for 2 years before moving to Brick in 1986. Harold served in the US Coast Guard during World War II.  He was predeceased by his wife Mildred in 1986.

Kenneth D. Osterberg, died on Sunday, July 6 at Elant of Newburg. He was 87

Born in Ottumwa , Iowa , Mr. Osterberg moved to Caldwell in 1965 and retiried to the Silver Ridge Westerly section of Berkeley Twp, in 1987. He was a Public Accountant and Manager of the Northeast Tucking Operations for Ward Foods Corporation / Tip Top Bread Division in New York City . He served as Treasurer of Boy Scout Troop 6 at St. Aloysius Church in Caldwell and as an usher at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Toms River . Mr. Osterberg is a WW2 Army Veterans, serving at the Pacific Command Headquarters in Sydney , Australia . He was a member of the American Legion Post 129 and VFW Post 8352 in Ocean County .

Mr. Osterberg is the husband of the late Regina (Jeanne) Osterberg, the father of Linda K. Smith and her husband Chester of Newburg, NY and Kevin M. Osterberg of Rancho Cucamonga , CA . He is also the brother of Elizabeth Holmes, the grandfather of Sean Connolly, Christopher Connolly, Kathleen Connolly, Michael Osterberg, Eric Osterberg, Stephen Osterberg and the great grandfather of Riley Connolly, Deanna Handel and the late Aidan Connolly.

Mark A. Robinson, 44 of Toms River passed away Sunday, July 6 at Community Medical Center

Mark worked for Oxford House as a crisis counselor. He had served in the US Navy aboard the USS Midway and the USS Cushing, during the Persian Gulf War, and was an Admirals Fleet Chef. Born in East Orange , he lived in Brick for 28 years before moving to Toms River .

Daniel Joseph Monti, Sr., 84 of Toms River , passed away on Sunday, June 29, at the Van Dyke Hospice Care Center at Community Medical Center

Mr. Monti was a machinist and worked for the Automatic Switch, Co., of Florham Park for 38 years, retiring in 1986, and was a 38 year member of the I.B.E.W. Daniel served in the US Navy during World War II. He was a communicant of St. Joseph ’s Catholic Church where he was a member of the choir. He was a member of the Holiday City Ambulance Corps. Born in Paramus, he lived in Maywood , moving to Toms River in 1979.

Donald J. Adams, 73 of Toms River passed away Friday, June 27, at the Van Dyke Hospice Care Center at Community Medical Center

Mr. Adams originally worked as a roofer with Adams Roofing in Newark . He then joined the Roofers Local 4 of Newark as a roofer, becoming an apprentice instructor and then business agent for the local. He served the local for 50 years, retiring in 1996. Donald was one of the first organizers of the East Dover Little League and was a coach for many years. He attended St. Justin’s Catholic Church of Toms River Born and raised in Newark , he lived in Irvington before moving to Toms River in 1962.

Gloria A. Ehrhardt, 65 of Toms River , passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at the Van Dyke Hospice Center. 

Gloria was gifted with the talent for sewing and making crafts which she lovingly shared with her family and friends. Born and raised in Kearny , she lived in Brick for 30 years before moving to Toms River 5 years ago. She was predeceased by her husband Robert in 1996, and three brothers Lewis, Jr.; Elmer and Edward Nolan.

Visitation will be at the Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave. , Toms River on Saturday from 1 to 5 pm with a funeral service beginning at 3:30pm . Cremation will be private.

Brian G. Simmons, 47 of Seaside Heights, passed away Monday, June 9 at his home. 

Brian worked in the service department at Freehold Ford for the past 10 years. Born in South Attleboro , Mass. , he grew up in Middletown , moving to Seaside Heights 5 years ago. He was predeceased by his parents Leroy and Marion Simmons in 2005.

Surviving are two brothers: David and his wife Beth of Ocean Twp., NJ; and Barry of Newark, NJ and 3 Nieces: Alyse, Haley and Julia

Calling hours will be held at the Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Avenue , Toms River on Thursday from 5 to 7 pm with a funeral service at 6:30 pm .

John H. Redeker, Jr., 70 of Spring Lake passed away Tuesday, June 03, at Jersey Shore Medical Center , Neptune

He had worked as a carpenter for R&M Construction in Brick for several years. Born in Newark , he lived most of his life in Belmar, moving to Spring Lake 6 years ago.

Surviving are:
A son James and his wife Karen of Lake Como
A daughter Karen Heilos and her husband Keith of Spring Lake Heights
A sister Helen Burke and her husband Bill of Point Pleasant
4 grandchildren: Nicole, Christopher and Jake Heilos and Lauren Redeker.

Services were private for the family. Kedz Funeral Home of Toms River was in charge of arrangements.
