Obituary of Barbara J. Webber

Please share a memory of Barbara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Barbara Ann Webber (née Jones), 62, of Jackson, NJ died Sunday October 4, 2015 at Ocean Medical Center. Barbara was born June 22, 1953 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania while her father was on a work assignment. She was raised and resided in Toms River most of her life, until late 2012. She attended both Toms River High School and then was the first graduating class of Toms River High School North in 1971. During high school she was active in the Toms River North Marching Band playing clarinet. She attended Ocean County College and then Glassboro State College studying Teaching and French Language. Barbara worked various jobs, but her main accomplishment was as a homemaker raising her three children. Her most recent and most enjoyed job was working as Work Support at the Oyster Creek Nuclear Power Plant; she always had a story to tell about work and shared that with her very interested grandsons. She was also a very dedicated Volunteer 4-H Leader with Ocean County 4-H. She was the D.O.G. Club leader for the last 27 years, mentoring many youth in the care and training of their dogs. She also volunteered within the County 4-H at the Ocean County Fair and at the State level in the Leaders Association. Barbara was an animal lover. In fact, she really wanted to become a veterinarian, but that dream never materialized. She owned several dogs and cats through the years, including her best friend Flower. She also enjoyed crafting, antiques, lighthouses, card games, and was an avid horse racing fan and Yankees Fan. Most of all, she loved being a grandmother to her four grandchildren. In 2012, she met her perfect match, Robert Webber. They both seemed to reinvigorate each other and on February 22, 2014 they were married. They were both happily living the newlywed life, again. She enjoyed vacationing with him in, most recently in Myrtle Beach. Together they have a dog Harley and cat Patty. Bob was there through the best and worst of times and she found comfort from him right to the absolute end! Barbara was predeceased by her father Jacob Birdsall Jones, mother Kathryn McLaughlin Jones, sister Mary Beth Jones, and father-in-law Daniel Teymant. She also had several beloved pets cross the rainbow bridge: Lady, Heidi, Buster, Chase, Patches, Purry, Grace, Flower, and Patty. She is survived by many loving family: Her husband Robert Webber, son and daughter-in-law Matthew & Amanda and grandchildren Kyler, Keagen, Kaeley, and Kamden Teymant, daughter Jennifer Teymant, daughter and son-in-law Sarah & Joseph Ricciuti, her stepchildren Kyle Webber and his wife Courtney, Kevin Webber and his girlfriend Stephanie Fette, Ryan and Matthew Webber, sister and brother-in-law Kathryn Elaine & James Conventry, niece Danielle McGrath, her husband Eddie Scott (ES), and their children EJ, Steven, & Emily, niece Tracey Jones, her fiancé Joseph Ditchkus, and their children Kevin, Christopher, Nicole, and Melanie Ditchkus, mother-in-law Johanna Teymant, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Johanna & Robert Weeast , nephew John Weeast, nephew Jim Weeast , his wife Jodi and their daughters Kyrrie & Ariel. She is also survived by many friends and her large 4-H Family! Friends are invited to call at the Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River on Friday from 10:00 am until the service time at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Ocean County 4-H, Whitesville Road, Toms River, NJ 08755.
