Obituary of Leonard V. Zaraza

Leonard V. Zaraza, 70, of Forked River, formerly of Toms River, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017 at home with his family at his side. Leonard worked in construction in the Ocean County area for over 50 years before retiring. He was a proud US Navy veteran. He was stationed aboard the USS Intrepid during the Vietnam War. Leonard was born in Passaic and moved to the Ocean County area in 1958 and was a graduate of Toms River High School. Surviving are two sons, Jeff and his wife Yvonne of Toms River, Jason and his wife Amie of Forked River; three brothers, Ken and his wife Diane, Michael and his wife Michelle, Richard and his wife Debbie; six cherished grandchildren, Harley, Ryan, Jake, Savannah, Charlotte and Ellie. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 6 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. A funeral service will be offered 11:00 am Monday at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
