Obituary of Jean Ruth Bencivenga

Jean Ruth Bencivenga (nee; Reuter) age 86, of Manchester Twp., passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017. Jean worked for several years at the bank of New Hyde Park, Long Island as an Administrative Assistant until her retirement. She was born in Floral Park, NY and later moved to Freehold and eventually Toms River where she and her husband Ernest raised their family. She later moved to Manchester Twp., in 2003. Jean was a member of the Church of Grace and Peace of Toms River. She was devoted to her family, friends and community, spending many years actively participating in community auxiliaries such as the Toms River and Island Heights Yacht Clubs. Jean had a passion for movies, reading, musicals and sailing. Jean was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Helen Reuter, her beloved husband Ernest Vincent Bencivenga and her son Robert Bencivenga. She is survived by her children, Valerie Roberta Bencivenga and her husband Mark Feldman, of Austin, Texas, Kristin Vida Bencivenga of Aston, PA, Brandon Bencivenga and his wife Mary of Toms River, NJ, Barrett David Bencivenga, of Short Hills, NJ and David Bencivenga of Kissimmee, Fla.; her grandchildren, Caroline and Rachel Bencivenga, Paul and Sarah Bencivenga, Mikaela Bencivenga, Shaina Bencivenga, Gregory, Douglas and Glenn Krupiak, and Audrey Krupiak; and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 8 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. A funeral service will be offered 11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home.
