Edna Douglass, 95 of Toms River, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017. Edna worked as a receptionist at the PNC Bank in Philadelphia for 15 years before retiring in 1987. With twelve of her girlfriends from the community, they formed a club that met once a month for sixty years at each other's homes. She loved to travel and enjoyed sharing her experiences with her family and friends. Edna was born and raised in Philadelphia. She lived in Runnemede and Asbury Park for a short time before returning to Philadelphia. She came to Toms River in 2007.
Surviving are her daughter, Marlyn La Voie; two grandchildren, Leigh La Voie, Jr., and wife Jeannie and Suzanne Sammon; two great grandchildren, Christopher La Voie and wife Kaitlin, and Jason La Voie; and great great grandson Jackson Christopher.
Visitation will be held at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 4:00 until service time at 6:30 pm. Letters of condolence may be sent by visiting www.kedzfuneralhome.com.
