William F. Burke Obituary

William "Bill" Burke ,84, of Point Pleasant passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, May 1, 2023. Bill was born in Newark, NJ and lived there before moving to Manasquan. He graduated Manasquan High School. Bill's father had passed away when Bill was 21 at which time he decided to construct a home in Brick where he and his mother resided until he married.


Bill and Helen started there married life in Belmar, NJ at which time Bill was building there forever home where they would raise their two daughters Donna & Jennifer in Point Pleasant, NJ.


Bill was employed as a Superintendent for Hall Construction Company for over 30 years where he oversaw massive construction projects. When retiring in 2002, Bill loved to travel back and forth to Tennessee to visit his niece, go on a cruise or even venture up to Vermont where he had built several buildings including a covered bridge. Bill enjoyed watching NasCar races and attending races in Dover, DE with his brother Frank. Bill always loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his Grandchildren.


Bill was predeceased by his mother and father Francis & Anna Burke, brother Frank and his wife Helen as well as his sister Julia Gaylon.


He is survived by his wife Helen of 58 years, his daughters Donna Burke & Dean Marzocca, Jennifer & Ed Kanarkowski and his grandchildren Kayla & Ryan Kanarkowski, his niece Elizabeth Fee & husband Lew.
