Mrs. Sallie Anne (Marks) Cook, 86, of Toms River, New Jersey, passed away on February 14, 2025. Born on April 18, 1938, in Elkins, West Virginia, she lived a life marked by dedication, energy, and an unwavering commitment to her family and career. Sallie was a hardworking and charismatic individual whose professional achievements spanned multiple industries. She dedicated over 40 years as an Avon representative, earning recognition as one of the elite top 100 representatives in the country. Her entrepreneurial spirit also led her to a successful career as a Fuller Brush representative for more than three decades. In addition to her sales expertise, Sallie had an adventurous side—early in her career, she worked as a travel agent for NASA and was a flight attendant and proud member of the Flying Orchids of Delta Airlines. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Sallie found great joy in her personal passions. She was an avid gardener and passionate tennis player, actively participated in several tennis organizations. Her love for travel took her across America and around the world with family and friends. For Sallie, Ocho Rios, Jamaica, held a special place in her heart, where she spent many cherished vacations. Sallie’s warmth and honesty left a lasting impression on those who knew her. She was known for being caring and supportive while also possessing a direct and honest nature that endeared her to many. Her boundless energy and dedication were evident in every aspect of her life. Sallie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Martell (Marty) J Cook, Commander, USN (ret); her sister, Judith Peters; and her parents, Evelyn and Paul Marks. She is survived by her sons, Mark Cook, Major, USMC (ret) and Michael Cook; her grandchildren, Hunter Cook, Aspen Cook, Jonah Cook, and Elijah Cook; as well as many close friends who were blessed to have known her. Sallie’s legacy of hard work, adventure, and devotion to family will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her; may Sallie’s lasting memory bring comfort to those who loved her. A celebration of Sallie’s life will be held on 22 March 2025 from 1pm to 3pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave, Toms River, NJ presided over by Pastor Paul Gifford of the First Assembly of God Church.
