Obituary of Emil P. Mozolak

Emil P. Mozolak of Toms River passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the age of 100. Emil was born August 13, 1924 to Paul and Katerina Mozolak. He grew up and resided in Hillside, New Jersey where he graduated from Hillside High School. Emil was a proud Army Veteran who served in World War II as a flight engineer and circled the world three times. He received his BA and MA from Rutgers University and served as a probation officer in Union and Essex counties in New Jersey. He married the love of his life, Jane, in 1976. They built their forever home together in Toms River, New Jersey. Emil retired at the age of 55 as the Chief Federal Probation Officer of the State of New Jersey. He was a Lutheran by faith and served his whole life at Zion Lutheran Church in Newark/Clark, New Jersey. Emil is predeceased by his beloved wife, Jane; siblings, Samuel Mozolak, Anna Kmet, Katherine Pringle, and Stephen Mozolak. He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Marlene Sabanosh, Paula Drankwalter, Karen Morris, Harvey Mozolak, and Phillip Mozolak. We would like to mention two special people in Emil's life for the past few years, Manana Otarashvili and June Cornier. A memorial mass will take place on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Justin's the Martyr Roman Catholic Church, 975 Fischer Boulevard, Toms River. Interment was private.
