Obituary of Robert Lacher, Sr.

Robert Lacher, Sr., 74 of Toms River, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Robert was born in Jersey City and grew up in West New York, NJ. He lived in Barnegat before moving to Toms River 37 years ago. He was Director of Operations for Payless Shoes for 40 years, retiring 11 years ago. Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Deborah Lacher; 2 sons, Robert Lacher, Jr., and his wife Tara, Kevin Lacher and his wife Johanna, and his daughter, Michele Malgeri, and her husband Joe; 6 grandchildren, Madison, Taylor, Adrianna, Isabella, Gisele and Hudson; his sister, Patricia Smith and her husband Billy and 2 brothers Jimmy and Tommy Lacher. Visitation will be held Friday, April 18, 2025 from 3:00 to 7:00pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Friends are invited to join the family for the funeral service at Ocean County Memorial Park Cemetery, 1722 Silverton Road, Toms River, on Saturday at 11:00 am.
