John P. Magierski, 70, of Manchester, NJ, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025. He was born in Trenton, NJ to Henry and MaryAnn Magierski. John grew up in Island Heights and attended Central Regional High School before attending a religious college for two years in Florida. He was a member of their choir, which would tour to different places, including islands in the Caribbean.
John was a dedicated and proud Certified Nurse’s Aide. He worked for Kensington Manor Nursing Home and Hampton Ridge Nursing Home in Toms River for a total of almost 40 years caring for patients. He went above and beyond taking care of his patients frequently he would not leave work until they were all taken care of and doing this on his own time after his shift ended. John attended St. Joseph’s Church in his youth, and is now a member of the Jesus is Lord Fellowship Church in Toms River. He looked forward to Sundays going to Jesus is Lord Fellowship Church, where his fellow parishioners always would pick him up.
John also loved going to America’s Keswick in Whiting for their retreats throughout the year. He enjoyed collecting vintage electronics, records, CD’s and DVDs. He was predeceased by his parents, Henry Magierski and MaryAnn Maloney; and stepparents, James Maloney and Anne Magierski. He really missed his favorite aunt who passed away recently, Edna Walton. John’s stepfather James Maloney and mother MaryAnn Maloney were a huge part and help in the care for John over the years, their unwavering dedication and love will always be acknowledged and remembered.
He is survived by two brothers, James Magierski and his wife Emma, Tom Magierski and his wife Carol; stepbrothers, Jimmy Maloney, and Roy Flacco; stepsisters, Lori Allen, Ginger Halbfoster, Mary Boland, and Janet Rossini; nieces, Ashley & Maggie Magierski and nephews, Chris & Matt Magierski; dear friends, Joe and Tom who were big helps to him.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 20, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am Saturday at St. Joseph’s Church, Hooper Ave., Toms River followed by placement at St. Joseph Cemetery.
