It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Tara Cero, 51 of Toms River. A cherished wife, mother, and friend, who left us on Thursday, July 3, 2025. Born and raised in Sayreville, New Jersey, to the late John and Annie Williams, Mary was a proud graduate of Sayreville War Memorial High School, where she began to cultivate the vibrant spirit that would define her life.

For 18 years, Mary served as the office manager for Varbeco Wealth Management, where her dedication and organizational prowess were invaluable. In 2017, she followed her passion for travel by founding "Creating Memories Travel with Mary," a venture that allowed her to share her love for exploring the world, particularly her favorite island, Bermuda.

Mary met her husband, Edward Cero, in 2003, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter. In 2009, they welcomed their beloved son, Jack Richard Cero, who became the center of Mary’s world. As a committed wife and mother, Mary cherished every moment spent with her family, creating a warm and loving home where the door was always open.

Known for her culinary talents, Mary loved hosting gatherings and preparing delicious meals that friends and family would travel far to enjoy. Her home was a place of joy, laughter, and connection, where she shared countless glasses of wine with her close-knit group of lady friends and family.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Edward, and their son, Jack, as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. Her legacy of love, warmth, and generosity will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Cremation will remain private.

Mary Tara Cero will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
