Karyn Dorothy Peccatiello, 72, of New Egypt, New Jersey passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones on September 6, 2025.

Karyn was born on April 1, 1953 in Belleville to Rose and John Gilbertson. She grew up in Nutley with her siblings Jack, James and Robyn.

Karyn has a long history working for RWJ Barnabas where she was adored for her hard work and keeping everyone smiling. Outside of work, she will always be remembered for her love of painting, shopping, delicious food and being the life of the party.

She is survived by her son Michael, daughter-in-law Krista and her grandsons Salvatore & Carmine, as well as her sister and best friend Robyn, brother Jack, her nieces and nephews Thomas, Alexis, C.J., Leah, Christie, David, Stacie, and Jessica, along with their spouses and children that she loved as her own. She was preceded in death by her Mother Rose, Father John and Brother James.

We will host a celebration of life for her closest friends and family as we know a big party in her name is exactly what she would want.
