Dorothy Margaret “Dottie” (Cox) Duffy February 11, 1936 – September 12, 2025

Dorothy “Dottie” Duffy, a long-time resident of Toms River NJ, passed away peacefully at the age of eighty-nine. She was born in Bayonne, NJ and pursued a career in nursing. A devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, Dottie touched countless lives through her work as a nurse in hospitals and the Brick Township school system. At 50, she boldly pursued a law degree and practiced with the same compassion that defined her life.

She loved to travel, the beach, skiing, and many other activities. She lived with a spirit of adventure and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. Dottie is survived by her children Susan Kessler, Marybeth Duffy, and Michael Duffy; grandson, Robert L. Kessler; siblings, James M. and Eileen Cox, Geraldine Campbell, and Peggy Michigan; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends—all of whom she loved dearly.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 4 - 8 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Avenue, Toms River.
