It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Jay R. Rossi, 56, of Toms River, on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. Born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey, Jay was a proud graduate of Dickinson High School. For 30 years, Jay devoted himself to his work as a Pharmacy Technician.
A die-hard fan of the New York Yankees and the Pittsburgh Steelers, Jay's love for sports was a defining aspect of his life. He could often be found cheering passionately for his teams. His enthusiasm for sports was matched only by his deep love for his dog, Gigi, who brought him immense joy and companionship. Jay took great pride in his Italian heritage.
He is predeceased by his stepfather, Mario Saporito, and is survived by his devoted mother, Adele; his brothers, Jesse (Kim) and Patrick (Marie); his sister, Renee; stepbrother, Thomas; and many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Inurnment will take place on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at 11:00 am at Ocean County Memorial Park, 1722 Silverton Road, Toms River, NJ.
