Dawn Diane Rogers, 82, of West Long Branch and Lakewood went peacefully, surrounded by her family, to be with her Lord and savior on October 5,2025.
Born to Helen and Ralph Downs May 20, 1943. She graduated from Long Branch High School where she was on the student council and was a Majorette.
Dawn resided in West Long Branch with her then husband Hubert (Butch) Brown where they raised their 3 children. She was a Den Mother and worked on the election board for Monmouth and Ocean County for 37 years before retiring. She also worked as Dental assistant for an Oral surgeon.
Dawn married Richard Rogers 40 years ago. In 2003, they moved to Fairways in Lakewood. Besides loving to travel, she was a member of the Central Jersey Rifle and Pistol Club, she was involved with many clubs including the Red Hats, Jersey Girls and shopping with her friends.
Through the years, Richard remained by her side as her best friend, partner, and loving husband. Richard cared for her until she passed to be with the Lord.
Dawn is predeceased by her parents and her daughter, Lori Brown Costello.
She is survived by her loving husband Richard, her daughter, Tracy Brown-Chiavaro and her husband John; her son, Craig Brown; 4 grandchildren, Kristyn Chiavaro-Gray and her husband Brodie, Jourdan Chiavaro and her fiancée Lori Young, Makenzie Chiavaro-List, and Zachory Chiavaro, and 2 great-grandchildren, Brianna Young and Aurora List.
There will be a private memorial service.
Donations can be made in her honor to Tunnel to Towers and St Jude.
