Sal was the consummate "mensch" - he consistently did the right thing by others. My parents and I shared many multi-generational Christmases with him, Sandy, Ron, Jim and many others in my youth at his home. Always so welcoming, generous and kind to all guests, family or not. What strikes me is that beyond his obvious intelligence and organizational skills, he retained a boyish sense of fun and for enthusiastic 'doing'. We had some epic ping-pong matches. What a life well-lived Sal!

I remember Sal always smiling and that soft nice giggle he had. He always had such a warm welcome for me. I loved listening to him when he was speaking with Jim or the boys. He was a special guy for sure. May he rest in peace.
