Carl Michael LaSalle, 75, of Manahawkin, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. Born in Neptune and raised in the close-knit community of Manasquan, he graduated from Manasquan High School.

A proud veteran, Carl served honorably in the United States Army in Phu Bai, Vietnam as a Sergeant in the 114th Infantry during the Vietnam War from 1970 to 1974. He received the National Defense Service medal, Bronze Star, Joint Service Commendation medal, Vietnam Service medal, Good Conduct medal and the Vietnam Gallantry Cross with palm for his services during the war. After coming home, he served in the Army National Guard until September of 1978 when he was Honorably Discharged. This chapter of his life shaped his character and instilled in him a profound sense of duty and patriotism, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and service. After his service, he returned home where he continued his work at Bell Atlantic Telephone Co. He had a successful career as a network technician until he retired in 2003. He had many endeavors throughout the rest of his life.

Carl had many passions and was always looking for interesting jobs that he enjoyed which were too many to list. He had a great love for the outdoors, finding joy in crabbing, fishing, and boating. He was also an avid collector and seller of knives, a hobby that reflected his appreciation for craftsmanship and history. Carl also enjoyed many years of friendship and service as an Elk at Lodge 2534 in Manasquan where he held many titles including Exhaulted Ruler.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Diane LaSalle; his daughter, Allison LaSalle Dickson; his parents, Carl LaSalle, Jr. and Mary Ellen Isaacs; Thea LaSalle, who lovingly raised him from a young age, and his sister, Mary Catherine (Chicky) Nuss.

Carl is survived by his sons, Brian LaSalle and his wife Karen, and Robert LaSalle; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Joseph, Madison, James, and Shane; and his brothers, Thomas LaSalle, David Isaacs, Jack Isaacs, and Scott LaSalle as well as many cherished and close lifelong friends.

In honoring Carl's wishes, services will remain private.
