It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Patrica Ann Tchaplygin. She was a devoted and loving daughter, cousin, sister, friend, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Patty passed away peacefully at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ, with her daughter at her side on November 7, 2025 at the age of 77.

She lived a beautiful and full life centered around faith and family. Pat was an active member of Lakehurst United Methodist Church. She enjoyed supporting Lydia's Closet, a free clothing ministry, attending weekly Sunday service, UMW meetings among other church activities. Patty was a loving wife to her husband Demetri (Jim) Tchaplygin for 55 years who preceded her in death. She was an attentive, caring, and loving mother to her 3 children and a doting grandmother to her 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. Serving and loving her family were her greatest joys and her legacy.

She is survived by her 3 children and their spouses, Jimmy and Maria Tchaplygin of Lanoka Harbor, Tina and Kyle Hilbert of Southampton, and Sonja and Joe Ternyila of Wall; her grandchildren Alexandra Harding (28), Nicolas Mastoridis (22), Madelyn Hilbert (21), Julia Tchaplygin (21), Carrie Tchaplygin (19), Stephen Mastoridis (18), Adam Ternyila (14), Emma Ternyila (14), and Charlotte Hilbert (9); her great-grandson Luca Lamaruggine (1 month); her loving sister Wendi Molod and her family, and brother James Fowler and his family.

A memorial service will be held at Lakehurst United Methodist Church Lakehurst, NJ on Sunday, November, 16, 2025 at 2 p.m.
