Wrightson, Penelope "Penny" Ruth nee Horner (December 17, 1941) of Brick, NJ, died Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Complete Care at Shorrock Gardens with her son by her side. Penny was born in Ventnor, NJ, graduating from Atlantic City High School in 1960. She then worked at Atlantic City Hall as a secretary. She moved to Massapequa Park, NY before moving to Lakewood, NJ where she was a waitress at Citta's Old Time Tavern, Toms River, then Spirits Unlimited, Howell for many years.
Later, she moved to Margate, NJ working at the Taj Mahal Casino, retiring in 2012, moving to Somers Point, NJ. Penny loved the beach and was a true Jersey Girl. She spent all of her free time with her husband Buddy before his death in 2020, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Penny is predeceased by her husband Buddy. She is survived by her daughter Stacey Kobs and her husband Joe of Appleton, WI, son William and his wife Kirsten of Toms River, NJ, sister Sharon West of Atlantic City, NJ, brother Edgar Horner of Linwood, NJ, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Penny's Celebration of Life will be held privately.
