Robert Joseph "Rob" Suskevich Obituary

Robert Joseph Suskevich, “Rob”, 49 of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, passed away on April 4, 2026.

Born on February 28, 1977, to William Alexander Suskevich and Eleanor Grace Suskevich, Rob was the youngest child and only son in a family of seven children.

Raised in New Jersey, Rob attended St. Joseph’s Grade School before graduating from Monsignor Donovan High School. He later attended Coastal Carolina University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree and began building the foundation for a successful professional career.

Following graduation, Rob built a successful career with Walgreens, where he was respected for his leadership, dedication, and strong work ethic.

After moving to Florida, Rob became an active and deeply valued member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.. He faithfully served as an usher, greeter, supporter of the weekly collection offering, and active member of the men’s group. Parishioners frequently asked for Robert by name, drawn to his kindness, professionalism, humor, and welcoming spirit. Within only six months, many recognized the positive impact he brought to the parish community through fellowship, encouragement, and faithful service.

Outside of work, Rob’s true passions centered around family, sports, laughter, and conversation. A lifelong and devoted New York Mets fan and a diehard New York Jets fan, Rob could spend endless hours talking baseball, football, and the emotional rollercoaster that comes with remaining loyal to your teams through every high and low. Some of his greatest memories were formed through the simple joy of throwing a baseball, whether with his father or others he loved dearly.

Rob also had a deep love for history and could often be found in thoughtful conversations about historical events and how they related to the world today. He had an exceptional wit, a sharp sense of humor, and a natural ability to make people laugh. Rob brought warmth into every room he entered and had a way of making people feel comfortable simply by being himself.

Rob was predeceased by his father, William Alexander Suskevich.

He is survived by his loving mother, Eleanor Grace Suskevich; his sisters, Catherine Ann Suskevich, Holly Gracia (Vincent), Carol Mazone (Kevin), Mary Long (Patrick), Eleanor B. Suarez (Ronald), Christine Courtney (James), and Ryan Piccone Suskevich, his adopted son; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who loved him dearly.
