Joseph D. Finn, Jr. Obituary
Joseph D Finn Jr, 51 known to some as JR and Howdy passed away on May 14, 2026. Born and raised in Hoboken NJ. Joe later moved to Ocean County, NJ.
Joe was a beloved father, husband, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. We will all miss that quick wit and stubborn attitude.
He worked in several hospitals as a Patient Transporter and later became the Supervisor, where he met his friend Sue. This meeting changed each of their lives for the better.
Joe’s first love was fishing. He and his lifelong best friend Mark would fish whenever they could. That is where he was the happiest. He loved going to the casino and racetrack, enjoyed good food and of course trying to find a crumb cake as good as Nana’s. He never did. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants and could be found on the couch rooting for them whenever they were playing.
Joe was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Georgette Finn. He is survived by his wife Melissa. His son Austin and daughterSamantha. His stepdaughters Savannah Hill and Amanda Stubbs. Brother Addison Finn and sister Scarlett Finn, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Natalie Ross and of course his 2 dogs, Katy and Channing.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026 from 6 - 8 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Avenue, Toms River.
