George A. Spadaro Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of George Andrew Spadaro, 86, of Toms River, who left this world peacefully, surrounded by his beloved children on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
George was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He married at 22, raised a family on Staten Island, and for over 30 years he worked as an accomplished mainframe computer programmer at Citibank. While working full time, he pursued a long-held dream of going to college and at the age of 53, earned his bachelor's degree in English from the College of Staten Island. He retired 5 years later and enjoyed an active retirement for 28 years engaging in travel and many hobbies. He found joy in ballroom dancing, playing the piano, swimming, working out, riding his bicycle, cooking, and he especially loved spending time with family and close friends.
He is survived by his devoted son, Daniel Spadaro (Paige), and his loving daughter, Rosemarie Hughes (Scott). He also leaves behind his cherished grandsons, Ryan and Sean, who brought endless joy and pride to his life. George will be greatly missed by his sister, Anita, his brother, Donald, and his extended family and circle of friends.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 11 – 1 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations to American Heart Association, www.heart.org, would be graciously appreciated.
