Anthony Caniano, 69, passed away at home on May 24, 2026, surrounded by family.

Born June 17, 1956, in New York, Tony devoted his life to emergency medicine—first as an EMT/Paramedic and later as an ER nurse, including years on the road as a travel nurse. After meeting his beautiful wife and children, he knew he needed to put down roots and made New Jersey his home.

He leaves behind his wife, six children and their spouses, eight grandchildren, and his brother and family.

Tony was a natural storyteller. He loved Cooking for a crowd, Riding his Harley, and Being a dad. His legacy is measured in the lives he touched—at home and in every emergency room he served.
