Jill Biegel, 73, of Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 25, 2026. Born and raised in Secaucus, NJ, Jill earned her degree from Jersey City State College in 1974, dedicating her life to education as a beloved teacher and mentor. Her impact on the lives of preschool children and her contributions to the local library will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jill was a woman of diverse passions. She enjoyed gardening, crafting beautiful pieces as a silversmith, and in her early marriage she was also a powerlifter.

Jill’s family was the cornerstone of her life. She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 wonderful years, Tom; their cherished daughter, Erin; grandson, Gabe; and her brother, Jack. Her daughter Erin poignantly expressed, “To know Mama Jill is to love her. My heart goes out to anyone else stricken with the grief of her loss. Throughout all the pain and suffering, Mama Jill remained the kindest, most compassionate human (angel) I have ever met. She positively impacted every single soul she met. The world is forever changed because of her selfless actions, and life as I know it will never be the same without her. I find comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering and that our souls will meet again. I love you forever, Mommy.”

Burial will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Steelmantown Cemetery, located at 101 Steelmantown Road, Woodbine, NJ 08270.
