Obituary of Ada R. Petersen

Please share a memory of Ada to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ada Petersen Original Leisure Village, Lakewood. It is with great sadness that we announce that Ada Petersen, 92, of Toms River passed away in the early morning hours of February 1, 2024. Ada was raised in Hoboken, NJ where she was born on August 3, 1931 to James and Rose Vivola. That is where she met her husband Eugene, and married in 1949. They later moved to Ocean County where they raised their four children. They spent many weekends buying and selling at the local flea markets. Ada blossomed in her later years. She loved listening to Italian music on her Google mini as well as watching the old black and white classic movies. She was always ready to go out; she never would turn down a chance to go out to lunch or anywhere. She dearly loved being a grandmother and great grandmother. She never forgot a birth date and made sure that each child received a gift. She is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Eugene in 2015, and her daughter Deborah in 2019. Members of her family, who will miss her dearly, include her son George and his wife Charlotte, son Eugene Jr., daughter Jamie Cameron and husband Christopher. Her grandchildren Christopher, Nicholas, Jeffrey, Katie, Brittany, Joshua, Jamie and Joy. Her great grandchildren Keegan, Siddalee, Gabriel, Violet, Lily, Jackson, Lilly, Dylan, Brad, Alina and Evan. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday, February 4, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 pm at the Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Interment will take place on Monday February 5, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River.
