Obituary of Pompeo Saporito

Pompeo Mario Saporito, 87, of Toms River, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2016 at his home. Mario worked as a Carousel operator at Casino Pier in Seaside Heights for the past 10 years. Born and raised in Italy, he came to the United States 60 years ago to Brooklyn, NY. He then lived in Jersey City and Seaside Heights before moving to Toms River 4 years ago. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Adele Corson Saporito; five sons, Pasquale, Anthony, Thomas Saporito, Jay and Jesse Rossi; daughter Renee Rossi; and 10 cherished grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 to 9 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. A funeral service will be offered 11:00 am Thursday at the funeral home, followed by entombment at Ocean County Memorial Park Cemetery.
