Bergliot Synnove Whiteman (Geneva), 95 of Seaside Park, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 28, 2016. Born February 4, 1921 in Bay Head, NJ to Jonas and Katherine Endreson, she was a life-long resident of Seaside Park. Geneva graduated in 1939 from Toms River High School where she met and married her high school sweetheart. Both she and her husband so enjoyed the family gatherings, especially Christmas - you would always see 'mother' in the kitchen preparing her Norwegian dishes. Bergliot and her husband Donald were founding members of Ocean County Baptist Church in Toms River. Bergliot was predeceased by her beloved husband Donald, son in law Jerry Camburn, sisters Margaret Sword, Anne Hey and brother William Endreson, Sr. Surviving are her four children, Dianne Camburn, Kathy Huntey and husband John, Joanne Whiteman and Donald B. Whiteman and wife Gail; seven grandchildren, Tim Camburn, Steven Camburn and wife Kristine, Jennifer Korndoerfer and husband Tim, Aaron Huntey, Derek Huntey and wife Holly, Don Whiteman and Katie Whiteman; nine great grandchildren, Todd and Kristen Camburn, T.J., Jonathan and Lauren Korndoerfer, Colleen and Joshua Camburn, Jackson and Helena Huntey; and two great-great grandchildren, Travis and Dustin Schielzo. A funeral service will be held at the Ocean County Baptist Church, 1380 Old Freehold Road, Toms River, NJ 08753 on Saturday, Dec. 31 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ocean County Baptist Church Building Fund in her memory would be appreciated.
