Obituary of Martin T. Cifarelli

Martin T. Cifarelli, Sr., age 86 of Toms River died on Sunday, August 17, 2008 at the Willows in Holmdel. Mr. Cifarelli was born in Jersey City and had lived there until he came to Toms River in 1982. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the US Army, and was a member of the American Legion of Jersey City and was a communicant of St. Joseph ’s Catholic Church of Toms River. He was employed with Colgate of Jersey City as a tin smith, retiring in 1982 after working there for 41 years. He was predeceased in 2006 by his wife of 59 years Rita Hughes Cifarelli. He is survived by his son Martin T. Cifarelli, Jr., and two grandsons, Christopher P. and Daniel T. Cifarelli. Private services were held under the direction of the Kedz Funeral Home, Toms River .
