Obituary of Rose M. Freda

Rose Bishop Freda, 79 of Toms River passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the Bey Lea Village Nursing Home. Born and raised in Carrolltown, PA, she attended the Ebensburg-Cambria High School and graduated in 1948. She was an active member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Northern Cambria. After working as a baby's nurse in Pittsburgh, PA, she married and moved to Tampa, FL. where she raised her family and worked for Maas Brothers Department Store for 30 years as a china inventory manager. Rose shared her summers with her grandsons at the Jersey Shore. She also enjoyed her two grandsons while living in Florida before retiring to Carrolltown, PA in 1998. Rose moved to the Bey Lea Village Assisted living in 2007. She was predeceased by her parents Harry and Anna Bishop, brother, Joseph Bishop, sisters, Helen Hass, and Margie Wynn. She is survived by her children, Margaret Lindstrom of Brick, Pasquale Freda, Jr. and his wife Susan of Lutz, FL, and Joseph Freda of Tampa, Fl.; a brother, John R. Edwards; two sisters, Thelma Sintikakis and Ruth Murphree, all of Florida; four grandchildren, Justin, Patrick and his wife Carolyn, Nathan and Jeremy; 2 great grandchildren, Corinne and Christian. Services are private under the direction of Kedz Funeral Home, Toms River. In lieu of flowers, donations to Bancroft Neuro Health, 425 Kings Highway East, P.O.
