Obituary of Kathleen F. Smith

Kathleen F. Smith, "Kate", 96, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011. Born and raised in Trenton, she lived in the shore area since 1955. Kate was the secretary at St. Catharine of Siena Catholic Church in Seaside Park for many years. Prior to that she was a homemaker and worked at the Monsignor Donovan High School cafeteria. She was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and the Secular Franciscans. She was predeceased by her husband Frank J. Smith, Jr., in 1978. Surviving are her children, Jane Nastasi of Boca Raton, FL; Bob and his wife Maryann of Toms River; Jim and his wife Patty of Beachwood; 13 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 1 great, great granddaughter. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 2 to 5pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Monday, April 11, 2011 at St. Catharine of Siena Church, 50 'E' Street, Seaside Park. Interment will be private.
