Obituary of Peter J Moon

Peter J. Moon, 83 of Toms River, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011. Mr. Moon served in the British Army, and went on to work as a Mechanical/Chemical Engineer. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Toms River and a member of the church choir. He was a past and honorary member of Lodge Jamrud, London and a member of Harmony Lodge No. 18, F&AM, Toms River. Peter was born in London, England and moved to the U.S. in 1983. He was predeceased by his first wife Thelma Moon in 1991 and his second wife Cicely Francesca Moon in 2008, and his first daughter Denise in 1952. Peter is survived by his children, Nigel, Adrian, Nicola and Claire; 5 grandsons, Benjamin, Clive, James, Andrew, Matthew; 4 granddaughters, Helen, Deborah, Victoria, Ellen; 3 great granddaughters, Ruby, Maggie, Charlotte; and his sister Sheila. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, April 28 at Christ Episcopal Church, 415 Washington Street, Toms River. A reception will follow in the Church Hall. In lieu of flowers, Peter requests that donations be made to the Christ Church Choir Fund.
