Obituary of Eugene J. Schnaidt

Eugene J. Schnaidt, age 83, of Bayville passed away Monday, January 17, 2011. He was an Electrical Supervisor for PSE & G, Hackensack for 41 years before retiring in 1990. Mr. Schnaidt was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Post # 3969, Clifton, the American Legion, John Raad Post, and a surviving member of the U.S.S. Shenandoah. This past October, Mr. and Mrs. Schnaidt marked their 60th Wedding anniversary. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson for most of his life, before moving to Bayville 20 years ago. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Doran) Schnaidt. Loving Father of Eugene Schnaidt and his wife Susan of Pompton Lakes, James Schnaidt and his wife Sandra of Franklin Lakes, Richard Schnaidt and his wife Patricia of Clifton, Eileen Hunt and her husband Gary of Bayville and Jean Rea of Beachwood. Father in-law of the late Michael Rea. Eugene is also survived by twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering on Saturday, January 29 from 5 to 8 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River.
