Obituary of Edward F. Seagraves

Edward F. Seagraves, 76, of Wall Township and Toms River passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Van Dyke Hospice surrounded by his family. Edward worked for the Foodtown Supermarket in Wall Township for 12 years, retiring in 2009. He proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Born in New York City, he grew up in the Bronx moving to the shore area 38 years ago. He was predeceased by his parents John and Georgina Seagraves, his wife Eileen Magner-Seagraves, his brother John J. Seagraves and two sisters, Georgina and Mary Seagraves. Surviving are, his son Patrick J. Seagraves of Wall; granddaughter Mikaela J. Magner of Brick; niece, Georgina Mays and husband Raymond of Toms River; nephews, Edward F. Hartwig of Toms River, Paul W. Hartwig and Dawn Bolen of Lakewood, John J. Hartwig of Lakewood; great nephews Raymond S. Mays II and wife Jamie of Browns Mills, Scott J. Mays of Point Pleasant, Paul W. Hartwig, Jr, of Lakewood; great nieces, Ashley Bolen of Ocean City, Samantha E. and Teresa M. Mitkus of Brick; great great nephews Raymond S. Mays III of Browns Mills, Julian Botbyl of Ocean City and Paul W. Hartwig, III of Lakewood. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 30 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. A funeral service will be offered Saturday at 8:00 pm. Cremation will be private.
