Rosemary T. Ballman, a longtime resident of Ocean and Middlesex counties, died Wednesday at the age of 45. Born in Rahway , Ms. Ballman lived in Woodbridge before moving to Toms River in 1979. She graduated from Toms River North High School in 1983 and attended Montclair University .
She had been previously employed by Shorelands Water Company in Hazlet and Cooper Electric Supply Company in Neptune .
Among her hobbies, Ms. Ballman was a voracious reader and she enjoyed classic movies and crossword puzzles. She had a deep love of animals and was dedicated to animal welfare. She will be remembered always for her intelligence, sense of humor, and love of family and friends.
She was predeceased by her mother, Margaret Boyle Ballman and her uncle, Philip Boyle. She is survived by her father, Albert A. Ballman and her stepmother, Joyce Laudise; two brothers, Christopher of Arlington, Mass., and Thomas of Neptune; two sisters, Karen Ballman Simone of Westboro, Mass., and Peggy Ballman Perone of Flemington. Surviving in-laws include Gerry Simone of Westboro , Mass. , Joseph Perone of Flemington, Susan McCabe of Arlington , Mass. , and Donna Peger of Neptune . She is also survived by three stepbrothers, John Laudise of Berkeley Heights , Ed Laudise of Naples , Fla. , and Thomas Laudise of Maplewood , two stepsisters, Meg Warden of Wyncote , Penn. , Mary Laudise of Berkeley Heights , and several nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held Tuesday between 2 - 4 p.m. and from 7 - 9 p.m. at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave. , Toms River . The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Justin’s R.C. Church , 975 Fischer Blvd. , Toms River . In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations to the Jersey Shore Animal Center , 185 Brick Blvd. , Brick, N.J, 08723.
