Biagio "Ben" Amato, 82 of Toms River, passed away Friday, November 4, 2011 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Grace O'Neill Amato in 2002. His is with her now. Born in Asbury Park, he lived there until he met Grace. He then married and started a family in Neptune and then moved to Toms River with his family in 1968. Prior to that, he proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a member of the VFW of Neptune. In Toms River, he worked as a tax preparer and owner of Mon �" Oc Tax Consultants of New Jersey for 40 years, helping countless clients and friends over the years the best way he knew how. He attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Toms River. Surviving are his four children, Karen Adams and her husband Kenneth of Howell, Andrea Forrest of Little Egg Harbor, Michael Amato and his wife Lorraine of Toms River, Joseph Amato and his wife Alison of Toms River. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Kenneth Adams, Jennifer Buckley, Robert Forrest III, Matthew Forrest, Dana Forrest, Michael Amato, Jr., Mary Catherine Amato, Joseph Amato, Nicholas Amato and 2 great grandchildren, Caitlyn and Keira Buckley, all whom he loved and all of whom loved him. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Avenue, Toms River. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Toms River. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph's cemetery.
