Obituary of Thomas J. Gallagher

Thomas J. (Tommy) Gallagher, 61 of Iselin, passed away at home on Thursday, November 10, 2011. Tommy was born on August 10, 1950 in Jersey City to Thomas J. Gallagher and Kathleen Gallagher. He proudly served in the U.S. Army with honor and distinction. He was an electrician by trade and later became a NJ Transit employee where he worked until his passing. He was a member of the American Legion Post 471. Tommy was a kind hearted soul who will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. Tommy was predeceased by his beloved wife Joy Gallagher in 2007. He is survived by his step-son Roger Bruno and his wife Leann and 2 granddaughters, Samantha & Jessica, and his beloved dog Lucky. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19 from 2:00 to 4:00pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River with a prayer service to be held at 4:00pm.
