Lillian Pollice of Silver Beach, N.J. left this world to be with the Lord on Friday, April 13, 2012 after a brief stay at Manchester Manor in Manchester Twp. She was born on August 23, 1914 in Newark N.J. to Frank Scheel. Lillian was predeceased by her husband Harvey who died in 1977. She leaves behind her loving sons, Salvatore and his wife Joyce of Toms River, N.J. and Gary and his wife Victoria of Shirley, MA. She also leaves her three grandsons, Stephen, Chris, and Gregory Pollice and granddaughter Joyce Ann Burns. She is also survived by four great grandchildren. Lillian lived in Silver Beach since 1952. She was a long-time member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic community in Normandy Beach (now St. Pio Parish). She was active in church activities such as the Rosary Society and the Catholic Daughters, and gave of her time, talents, and treasure in many areas, especially preparing garments for infants and caring for the altar cloths. Lillian's great love was for young children. She was never happier than when surrounded by little ones. She spent several years as a worker in the Toms River School Systems cafeterias where she was able to enjoy watching the children advance through the system. Lillian will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River.
