Obituary of Robert G. Sommers

Robert Gerhardt Sommers, 59 of Toms River, died August 21, 2012. He was born November 5, 1952 in Akron Ohio. Robert was an Air Force veteran and very proud of his service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Alice Sommers as well as his close friend, Arthur LaRosa. He will be dearly missed by his step mother Al Sommers Cochran, and her husband Bob, his sisters Carole King, Diane Jindra, and Ginger Sims as well as their husbands Roger, Tom and Jim. He leaves one brother Richard Sommers and his wife Diana. He will be missed by his son Robert Sommers, wife Lisa, and their son Robert Maxwell Sommers. Visitation will be held at the Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River on Saturday, Aug. 25, from 7:30 to 8:30 am followed by a funeral mass at 9:00am at St. John's Catholic Church, 619 Chestnut Street, Lakehurst. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
