Obituary of Daniel F. Mead

Precious in the site of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants. Psalm 116:15. Daniel Franklin Mead, a faithful servant to Jesus Christ, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at the age of 89. Daniel was born in Westwood New Jersey on August 27, 1930. The youngest of three children, he grew up loving his grandfather’s farm and spending time with his friends and cousin, He was an avid basketball player and enjoyed sports of all kinds, Daniel served in the Korean War before marrying Kathryn Bechtle on October 6, 1956. Together they raised a large family of seven children who describe their dad as a selfless, giving father who always put his family first. Daniel raised his family to love the Lord their God with all of their heart, all of their soul and all of their might, leaving a legacy to his 20 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, his two sisters, his wife Kathryn and his son James. He is survived by his children Janet Appel, Judy Todaro, Joan Corbo, Joy Mamuszka, Jill Genz, Jeff Mead and their families. A private family graveside service has been planned.
