Raiden Joseph Bowler
aka "Rooden McPoosPoos"
January 9, 2017 - July 24, 2020
On Friday, July 24, 2020, Raiden Joseph Bowler, after his brave fight on life support passed away. Raiden lived every day to its fullest in his home in Toms River, NJ with his loving parents, Joseph Bowler & Katie Cosentino, his big sister Lilly and Grandmother Angela. His home away from home was with his Nana and PopPop, Mark and Britta Cosentino. Raiden is survived by a very large loving family that misses him dearly.
During his time here, he humbled all of us with his bright spirit and his strong passion for his bee’s. He lived and breathed for his favorite show Disney Jr.'s "The Hive". He strongly preferred Season One, and let anyone who dared to put on an episode from any other season, know this. He loved straws, whether they were his own or yours. He had an excessive love for ice pops. He was very talented on his sensory swing and could spin more gracefully and faster than any figure skater. Although he did not speak, Raiden knew exactly what he wanted and made sure that you did too!
OUR HERO
Raiden's spirit will not be defined by his tragic accident but will live on through others. With the help of The New Jersey Sharing Network, Raiden was able to donate his liver to a 2-year old girl in Ohio, and his kidneys to a 16-year old and 38-year old New Jersey resident.
His life gave all those who knew him such meaning and will continue to do so in spirit. Raiden humbles us by teaching us that just because our world no longer makes sense, we are still able to help ease the pain of other parents and allow other children a chance at a longer fuller life. We are comforted to know that a small part of him lives on selflessly through the gift of life.
FROM US
To you, our sweet baby Raiden, with your beautiful innocent eyes, perfect curly hair and those love bites that left scars that will be forever cherished. Wherever you had went, you brought that infectious smile and giggle, both that continue to warm our hearts and light up the room, even in these, our darkest days.
Raiden, we were graced with your presence for such a short time, but will forever hold you in our hearts. You have imprinted your love on everyone who knew you, and even after facing the biggest fight of your life you gave others a chance to live with your sacrifice. We will do our best to make you as proud of us as we are of you.
IN MEMORY
We will never be ready to say goodbye to you, our sweetest boy, but we do understand there are many others who want to pay tribute to your life. With very heavy hearts, we will be having a memorial gathering for you.
Keep watching from heaven and you will see our love floating toward you soon. We love you forever and you will always be the buzz, buzz, buzz in our meadow.
Memorial gathering for Raiden will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Shelter Cove Beach in Toms River from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. Lanterns will be provided to send your love to our tiny angel.
SPECIAL THANKS
Our family thanks each and every one of you for your kind words, love and support during these unthinkable, devastating times. In Raiden’s honor we are taking the steps on establishing a foundation that will assist and support safety and training for families with children with Autism and sensory needs.
