Obituary of Matilde G. Acosta

Matilde G. Acosta, 91 of Toms River, passed away Monday, November 12, 2012 at home surrounded by her children and family. Born in Camaguey, Cuba, she lived in Paterson for many years before moving to Toms River 28 years ago where she was a communicant of St. Justin's Catholic Church. She was predeceased by her husband Jose J. Acosta in 2002 and her son Angel E. Acosta in 1980 and her sister Olga DeVarona. Matilde is survived by two sons, Jose J. Acosta, Jr. of Toms River, Roberto R. Acosta of Brick; three daughters, Ana M. Lewis of Deland, FL, Corina Gonzalez of Toms River, Adela Gutierrez of Toms River; 16 grandchildren; 21great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to9 pm on Friday at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated 9:30 am Saturday, at St. Justin's Church, 975 Fischer Blvd., Toms River followed by interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River.
