Obituary of Michael Pearce

Michael Pearce, 62 of Lanoka Harbor, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020. Mike worked for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority for the past 38 years as a Crew Supervisor. Michael was President of IFPTE Local 193c. Michael was born in Jersey City and was raised in Hazlet with his brothers and sisters. He and his wife Laurie lived in Brick for a brief time before settling down with their family in Lanoka Harbor. He was predeceased by his son, Bryan Pearce in 2016, his mother Carolann O’Callahan in 2016, and his brother Russell in 2008. Michael is survived by his wife, Laurie Pearce; his daughters, Keleigh and Sarah Pearce; his father Patrick O’Callahan; his 5 siblings, Louise Witkowski and her husband Mark, Patrick O’Callahan and his wife Rose, Sean O’Callahan, Tracey Sullivan, and Barry O’Callahan and his wife Karen; sister-in-law, Brigitte Pearce and his two cherished grandchildren, Jocelyn Armitage and Lukas Pearce. Visitation for Michael will be held Friday, Dec. 18, 2020 from 3 to 8 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave, Toms River. Family and friends will be gathering for Church services at St. Pius Catholic Church, 300 Lacey Road in Forked River, 10:00am, Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020. Burial service will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Manahawkin. In memory of Michael and in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made at “Go Fund Me” (Michael Pearce College Fund for Grand Children) for Jocelyn and Lukas’ college fund.
