Obituary of Fred G. Reichstetter

Fred G. Reichstetter, Sr., 93 of Toms River passed from this life on Friday, November 23, at his home. After multiple medical issues and years of treatment, he made it home to spend Thanksgiving with family. Fred was born to George and Bertha Reichstetter in Newark, NJ. He married the sweetie he met at a dance with his ex-girlfriend staring his future wife down. He and Genevieve celebrated their 70th anniversary earlier this year. He had a variety of jobs, including being an electrical motor repairer at Weston Inc. and staying the longest at Rowe Manufacturing of Whippany, NJ as a master finish painter. He lived in Irvington, Whippany and Toms River during his adult life. His two passions were singing and fishing, often getting up at 3 AM to head for the water and later in life he took up bowling. Bowling a 200 game at this late junction in life. He was a tough but reasonable guy who lived to his fullest potential. Fred is survived by his wife Genevieve, son Fred and his wife Anne of Florida, sister Marjorie Dewar of Brick, sister in law Lucille Petren and many nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held in the near future.
