Obituary of Michael Magera Sr.

Michael Magera Sr., 83, of Toms River passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021. Michael was born and raised in Blatne Remety, Czechoslovakia before moving to the United States at the age of 6. He has since been a resident of Toms River for the past 25 years. Michael was a proud Veteran who served in the United States Army. He was admired for his craftmanship and passion for creating things out of copper and wood. Michael is predeceased by his parents, Martin and Mary Magera, and sister, Mary Magera. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Emma Magera; son, Michael Magera Jr. and his wife Melody; grandsons, Michael Magera III and Justin Magera; step-daughter, Elen Mannix, and step-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Robert. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 11 – 1pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River, NJ. A funeral service will follow at 1:30pm at the Presbyterian Church of Toms River. Burial will be held privately for the family.
