Obituary of Andrew Jacob Wortman

Andrew Wortman, 31 yrs old, of Toms River NJ, passed away unexpectedly on March 19, 2021. Born in St. Petersburg, Fla, he was a lifelong resident of Ocean County, NJ. Affectionately known as "AJ", he was a charismatic young man whose tenderness and sense of humor put everyone around him at ease. AJ held many passions in life; his greatest being his children. He is survived by ex-wife and friend, Jessica Wortman, of Brick NJ, their 6yr old twins, Elijah and Ashlynn, and 4 yr old son, Deegan. He also leaves an 11yr old son, Anthony. He is also survived by his mother; Kathleen Bailey of Whiting, NJ; father Bill Wortman of Inverness Fla; sisters, Chelsea Wortman of Toms River, NJ, Danelle Wood of LEH, NJ, Kiannah Jones of Point Pleasant, NJ, Breanna Wood of Trenton, NJ, Bianka Wood of Barnegat, NJ; stepfather, Cleveland Bailey of Whiting, NJ; paternal grandmother, Barb Wortman of Lacanto, Fla, and a tribe of nephews, nieces, cousins and close loving friends. AJ is predeceased by his sisters, Elysia Wortman, Devinee Wood; stepfather Kevin Jones, and many other loved ones who helped welcome him home. 'You made it home AJ, fly high and rest easy sweet boy.' Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River.
