Lorraine Camuso, 77, of Toms River passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 14, 2021. She was born and raised in Newark, NJ where she graduated from St. Casimir’s Grammar School and East Side High School. She is a former member of St. Casimir’s Church in Newark. Lorraine worked as an Administrative Assistant for Durlin Company in Newark and Kirker Company in Paterson. She also worked as a Customer Service Representative for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield and a Medical Transcriptionist for Ocean Medical Center in Brick and Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. She enjoyed bowling, adventures with her cousins, traveling with her husband in their RV, ‘The Down Neckers Breakfast Club,’ and playing bingo with her lifelong friend Sally Paczkowski. She was a kind, thoughtful, and good friend to all who she came in contact with and will be greatly missed.
Lorraine is survived by her husband, Robert Camuso; brother, Thomas Sojka and his wife Karen; sister, Kathleen Sojka; loving aunt to niece, Dr. Felicita Heidler; nephew, Nikolas Sojka; three great-nieces and nephews, Johanna Heidler, Nika Sojka, and Nael Sojka, and her dear friend Ross Eadie.
A celebration of life will take place on Friday, August 20, 2021, at 11 AM at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery Mausoleum, 1 Honey Locust Drive, Lakewood, NJ. Interment to follow. Letters of condolence may be sent by visiting www.kedzfuneralhome.com.
