Obituary of Florence Joan Tollner

Florence Joan Tollner, age 82, of Myrtle Beach, SC, Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Brick, NJ, died Monday, February 4, 2013 at Evans Healthcare of Fort Meyers, FL. Florence was born North Plainfield, NJ and lived most of her life in Brick where she was a communicant of Visitation Catholic Church and the Rosary Society. She was also an auxiliary member of the Knights of Columbus. Florence was a devoted mother to her growing family and was an active leader with the Brownies and the Girl Scouts. She is the last of 6 children of the late Harry P and Florence (Goodall) Messemer. Florence was predeceased by her husband, Fred Tollner in 2000 and a son Scott A. Tollner in 2012. She is survived by two sons, Rick Tollner and wife Cathleen of Myrtle Beach, SC, Michael Tollner of Bradenton, FL; three daughters: Patricia Downs and husband Harry of Toms River, NJ, Mary Giuliano and husband Sam of Cape Coral, FL, Lori Tollner Eirich of Myrtle Beach, SC; thirteen grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday from 7 to 9 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 9:30am Friday at Visitation Catholic Church, Mantoloking Road, Brick, NJ followed by burial at St. Mary Of The Lake Cemetery, Lakewood.
