Obituary of William H. Blake

William “Bill” Blake, 83, of Whiting passed away peacefully on Friday, August 20, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Bill grew up in Brooklyn, NY and attended Saint Michaels High School before transferring to Bay Ridge High School where he graduated. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree at Pace University. Bill is a proud Navy Veteran. He was an Elder at North Shore Alliance Church in North Fort Myers, Florida and a member of Christ Evangelical Church in Whiting, NJ for the past 7 years. Bill was a faithful servant of the Lord. He was an avid golfer and also loved to play chess. He loved to dance and was always the first one on the dance floor. He had a contagious laugh and a smile that lit up the room. Bill was a wonderful husband, father, friend, and man of God. Bill is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 62 years, Elaine M. Blake; sons, Christopher Blake and Paul Blake and his wife Linda; daughters, Debra Ferraro and her husband Jim, Suzanne Blake, and Trisha Lyons and her husband Bryan; daughter-in-law, Diane Blake; grandchildren, Lauren Marinelli and her husband Mike, Ryan Blake and his fiancé Katie, Chelsea Storm-Larsen and her husband RJ, Jordyn FitzGibbon and her husband Brian, Christian Ferraro and his wife Kaitlin, Christopher Blake, Jr., Jacquelyn Blake, Bryan Lyons, Jr. and his fiancé Courtney, Brent Lyons, Blake Lyons, Breanne Lyons, Madison Blake, and Haley Blake; great-grandchildren, Stella, Roman, Garrett, and Nathan, and cousin, Edward Barrett and his wife Jenny. He is predeceased by his son, Bill Blake. Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 11 – 12 pm with a Memorial Service beginning at 12:00 pm at Christ Evangelical Church, 300 Schoolhouse Road, Manchester Township, NJ.
