Obituary of Nicholas Stern

Nicholas Stern, 36, of Island Heights passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 7, 2021. Nicholas was born in Lakewood, NJ and raised in Island Heights. He graduated from Toms River High School South. For the past 18 years he worked alongside his father and grandfather in their family-owned business. He loved football and was an avid Giants fan. Nicholas had an infectious smile that would light up a room, he will be missed by all that loved him dearly. He is predeceased by his mother, JoAnne Zonin. Nicholas is survived by his father, Robert Stern and his wife Janice; grandparents, Robert and Kathleen Stern, and Frank and June Weed; brother, Jason Anzaldo and his wife Antoinette; sister, Melissa Devlin and her husband Brendan; aunts, Suzanne McAleer and her husband Stephen, and Karen Stern; uncle, Matthew Stern and his wife Kristen; niece, Jordin; nephews, Tyler, Aidan, and Leo, and his cousins, Scott, Justin, Adam, Brian, Renee, Charlie, and Carley. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 100 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148 will be appreciated.
