Ethel Killion, 82 of Toms River, formerly of Wall Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, December 31, 2021. Born in Neptune, NJ, Ethel raised her family in Wall Township, moving to Toms River, 2 years ago. Ethel worked for Sonetronics Corp. in Wall for over 30 years. Throughout her life, Ethel was a supportive wife, a tough but loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother. She had an independent spirit, was honest, smart and funny, and was a hard worker, and leader.
She was predeceased by her first husband William McKelvey, her second husband George Killion, her mother Doris Andrews, sister, Peggy Belenets and grandson Scott McKelvey.
Surviving are her children, Billy McKelvey, Guy McKelvey, Vickielynn Coffey, Robin Dangler and Tammy Gannon; 3 brothers, Walter, Billy and John Bennett; 4 sisters, Joan LaReddola, Patty O’Chat, Sharon Summers, Carol Ogle; 9 grandchildren, Nicholas McKelvey, Kristen Moore, Joseph McKelvey, Robert Gannon, Ally McKelvey, Brad McKelvey, Matthew McKelvey, Jake Dangler and Meredith Hunt; and 9 great grandchildren, Mason McKelvey, Olivia McKelvey, Rylie Moore, McKenzie Moore, Shayln McKelvey, Shauna Hunt, Dylan Hunt, Emma Hunt, and Brianna Saito.
Visitation will be held at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022 from 2 to 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ethel’s memory to the Popcorn Park Zoo, www.ahscares.org, would be appreciated.
Masks are required to be worn inside the funeral home.
